Tom Melville:
Coach Melville is Mercer University’s most successful soccer coach. He has led the Bears to five Atlantic Sun Conference Championships. In 2001 he led the Bears to their second NCAA Division I national Championship experience. Coach Melville has been a Staff Coach with the Georgia Olympic Development Program, guiding two players to the USA U-17 National Team. Recently, Vicente Arze, one of Melville’s college products, was drafted by Kansas City Wizards in the MLS. Melville has been involved with local club soccer for many years, as a Director of Coaching at MSGA and has served on the board of both MGSA and Hearts of Georgia. Melville has been a head college coach since 1987 and was a graduate assistant with UNC Chapel Hill’s women’s team, winning a National Championship in 1986. He holds an Irish Football Association Full License (“A” License equivalent).
Dave Barrueta: Currently the Head Coach at GPS in Chattanooga, Coach Barrueta is a former NCAA Division I player with two final four appearances. He is also a former NCAA Division I Head Coach and a former professional goalkeeper (MLS - New England; A-League - Atlanta Silverbacks). Coach Barrueta also serves as the Goalkeeper
Coach at Mercer University. Dave resides in Chattanooga, TN and coaches extensively in the area.

City Soccer Association.Currently working with BFUT.

Captain of BUSA at University World Championships. Current Head
Coach at Tatnall Academy.
Dustin Norman: Mercer Assistant Coach. Former player at Maryville College
and Assistant at Middle GA College.
Dean Blain: Former player at Mercer University; Newcastle FC &
Charlton AFC Academy. Current DOC Central Georgia YSA.
Iain Jones: Current Head Coach at Mt. De Sales Academy. GISA
State Champions. Specialist Goalkeeper Coach.
Sergio Farias: Former Head Coach for Brasil U-17 National Team;
Santos FC U-19 Team.
Camp Staff: will also consist of current college coaches, past and present Mercer University soccer players.

TEAM CAMP
The Mercer Team Camp is designed to give your team that “one on one” attention to details from a high level, professional coach. We strive to prepare your Team for your upcoming season through technical and tactical instruction. Requests for specific topics from your team coach are encouraged.
Emphasis will be placed on technical repetition, Team Shape, Principles and Systems of Play.
WHAT TO BRING?
Cleats and indoor shoes (in case we go inside due to
weather).
Water is provided but it is recommended each player
brings their own water bottle.
Sunscreen.
Swimsuit and towel (Macon Location : ages 11 – 16 only).
