On Friday, just days after Mercer Head Coach Grant Serafy announced seven new members of the Mercer women’s soccer team, the two-time Atlantic Sun coach of the year revealed the program’s summer camp dates for 2010.

The fourth edition of the Mercer University Girls Soccer Camps will be held June 14-18 and July 23-26. In their history the camps have attracted players from all over the country and have thus been very successful.

The Day Camp, for girls ages 6-16, will be held June 14-18. There will be a half-day session from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. for ages 6-10 and the full-day session will run from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. for ages 10-16.

“The Day Camp is designed to focus on technical training in a disciplined environment with competitive games in the afternoon,” Serafy said.

The Individual Camp, for girls ages 13-18, will be held July 23-26.

“Our Individual Camp has been very successful and we think it is unique in that the players are given a lot of individual attention and the cost is very competitively priced with other university camps,” Serafy said. “We have been able to attract some very good players to this camp that come from all over. That combined with the current players staffing the camp, it makes for a very good competitive environment.”
