Former Kenyon College golfer joins Kirk Kayden’s staff
MACON, Ga. – Mercer men's golf head coach Kirk Kayden announced the hiring of Jordan Harlacher as his program's assistant coach on Monday morning.
A native of Mechanicsburg, Pa., Harlacher is a former all-conference collegiate golfer at Kenyon College (Ohio), where he graduated from in 2016. Harlacher was a three-time All-North Coast Athletic Conference selection and earned 12 career top-10 finishes during his career with the Lords. He was a pivotal part of Kenyon's rise to the top 25 rankings of NCAA Division III by his junior year.
"I'm excited to have Jordan join our program as an assistant coach," Kayden said. "Jordan brings great qualities to our program and being a collegiate golfer at Kenyon College, he will be able to relate to our players' needs on and off the course.
"Jordan is a very responsible and motivated young man who will help us succeed at a high level this season; he's a great fit for our program and Mercer in general and I'm thrilled to have him with us."
Harlacher graduated Magna cum laude with honors and distinction in economics from Kenyon College in 2016. He was an All-American Scholar golfer during his final two seasons of play and was additionally a three-time NCAC Academic Honor Roll selection.
Harlacher will help Kayden guide an experienced men's golf team into the 2018-19 campaign. The Bears return nine golfers, including All-Southern Conference selection Stanton Schorr.
