Malloy, Jones Headline Sunday's Orange & White Game

MACON, Ga. – The annual Mercer men's basketball Orange & White scrimmage has new star power in 2014, as WMAZ personalities Frank Malloy and Ben Jones have signed on as celebrity coaches for the event. The game is open to the public with free admission, and is set to tip on Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. in Hawkins Arena.
Mercer's annual Orange & White scrimmage provides eager fans a sneak-peak of the Bears before the official 2014-15 season opener on November 14th. Malloy and Jones will guide opposite sides of the split-squad exhibition for two 15-minute halves.
Following the game, head coach Bob Hoffman will address the crowd and provide additional insight on the team's progression. The new-look Bears feature seven returners and nine newcomers after last season's landmark 27-9, NCAA Round of 32 season.
Malloy's White team is made up of T.J. Hallice, Ike Nwamu, James Bento, Matt Panaggio, Andrew Fishler, Stephon Jelks, Jordan Strawberry, Demetre Rivers and Tyre Moore. Jones' Orange squad is comprised by Darious Moten, Jibri Bryan, Phil Leonard, Lawrence Brown, John Mosser, Niklas Ney, Desmond Ringer and Jestin Louis.
