Cam Sims Ranked Among Top 10 Returning FCS Cornerbacks

Rankings released by Bluebloods using Pro Football Focus database
MACON, Ga. – Mercer football cornerback Cam Sims was graded out as the ninth best returning cornerback in the FCS according to Bluebloods who used Pro Football Focus' database to come up with the rankings.
Each player's PFF grade represents their overall defensive grade from the 2022 season, including postseason games.
Sims was ranked as the ninth best returning cornerback in the FCS with a PFF defensive grade of 83.6.Â
Last season as a redshirt sophomore, Sims had 30 tackles including 14 solo and five pass breakups. Sims had two interceptions, including a 67-yard interception return for a touchdown in
Mercer's win at Gardner-Webb. He had a season-high six tackles in the last regular season game of the year at Samford.
Mercer fans will have a chance to watch Sims and the Bears five times inside of Five Star Stadium this season.
