Mercer Football Golf Tournament Set For August 7

Golf tournament will be at Brickyard Golf Club
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer football program and head coach Drew Cronic will host the tenth annual Mercer Football Golf Tournament on Monday, August 7th, 2023 at the Brickyard Golf Club in Macon, GA. This event will kick off the 2023 season as the Bears look to build on a another historic season this past fall.
The event will feature a four-person scramble format and kicks-off with a morning session at 8:30 a.m. with on-site registration starting at 7:30 a.m. Lunch will be served around 12:30 p.m. and Raffle prizes will be given out after the tournament.
Entry includes one round of golf, lunch, and a tee gift. The tournament will also have several on-course games throughout the day. Awards for longest drive and closest to the pin will be given out.
Mercer football also offers several sponsorship opportunities for the tournament with levels at $100, $600, $750, $1,000, $1,500, and $2,500.
The beautiful Brickyard Golf Club, located in Macon is one of the finest golf courses in Georgia. The Brickyard Golf Club was built in 1961 by Charles "Chic' Adams. It was formally Riverside Golf and Country Club prior to its purchase in December 2003 by brothers Kenneth and Alfred Sams Jr.
The Sams brothers envisioned constructing a true championship caliber golf course for central Georgia that would commemorate their personal ties to Macon golf and contracted former PGA TOUR player Mark McCumber to redesign the golf course and all facilities.
