Megan Delmonico headed the ball at midfield and sent it on to Tejan, who served the ball down to Clark, just outside the goal. Clark was able to finish from just a few yards out, netting her 13th goal of the season.
Â
Mercer went up 3-0 less than three minutes later when a Chattanooga defender headed the ball into the Mocs' net, recording an "own goal." The score remained 3-0 for the final 25 minutes of the match as the Bears held on to their sixth shutout in the last seven matches.

"It's great to get a win in the conference tournament. Our players have been working extremely hard the past four weeks. We challenged them at a point when we were 1-3 in conference to finish out the season strong and we have. We finished the season with six wins heading into the conference tournament. We came out in the first half and unfortunately got an injury early on; we didn't substitute and we played a man down for about 12-15 minutes, which made it difficult for us. Overall, I was very happy with the first half and we came out of it 0-0. We challenged the team in the second half to be more aggressive and to get forward more. We created several great chances and we put two away." – Head Coach Tony Economopoulos.
