Inclement weather in the Macon area cancels regular season baseball finale
MACON, Ga. – Mercer's baseball series finale against Western Carolina Saturday at OrthoGeorgia Park has been cancelled due to inclement weather in the Macon area.
The game's cancellation does not have any impact on the Southern Conference standings; Mercer and Western Carolina have already locked up the No. 1 and 2 seeds of next week's SoCon Championship presented by Holston Gases.
Mercer finishes the 2017 regular season with a 38-15 (17-6 SoCon) record. The 38 wins are tied for the fourth most in program history and clinched an eighth straight season of at least 35 wins.
