Mercer Scorecard
Mercer on the Team Leaderboard
Mercer sits comfortably ahead of Michigan (+24) and Akron (+25) while being only four shots behind in-state foe and co-host Kennesaw State (+12) for 11th place.
Mercer on the Individual Leaderboard
Three of Mercer's starting five rose in the standings Monday, led by Stanton Schorr's even par 72. The junior jumped 18 spots to a tie for 42nd overall and is three-over-par for the tournament. Four Bears – Schorr, Tyler Copp (T-42), Nolan Miller (T-42) and Spencer Ball (T-50) rank inside the top 50 overall.
Coach Kayden's Take
"We didn't play up to the expectations of this golf program today," said head coach Kirk Kayden. "There were simply too many mistakes that resulted in a poor team score. Unfortunately we only had one good round of the board with Stanton [Schorr's] even par.
"The biggest thing is for us to move on from it and try to finish strong in tomorrow's round. There is still a chance to beat a handful of quality teams in this tournament.
Tuesday's Tee Times/Pairings
Mercer is paired with Charlotte (+14) and Michigan (+24) for Tuesday's final round. All Bears will tee off from No. 10.
