Claude Smith Field (baseball)

Claude Smith Field is located adjacent to the University Center, with the spires of the UC providing a picturesque view of the facility over its thirdbase-side profile. While the facility provides seating for just over 500 fans, it's not uncommon for many fans to make camp on the raised embankment running from the rightfield line to centerfield in a picnic-like atmosphere!
The facility underwent a renovation in 2003 to make it one of the most outstanding collegiate venures in the Southeast. The renovation project included indoor batting cages, a new drainage system and a laser-leveled field.
Smith Field's enclosed pressbox offers comfortable surroundings for broadcasting, as well as game operations staff. There is also a conveniently located concessions stand, which features a wide-variety of traditional baseball treats on game day!
Located closet to Interstate 75 of any of Mercer University's facilities, the lights at Claude Smith Field act as a beacon to draw baseball faithful to the Bears' home park.
