Michael Mimbs (1988-90) was inducted into the Mercer Athletic Hall of Fame in 2019.
Mimbs starred on the mound for Mercer’s baseball program alongside his brother, Mark, before being drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 24th round of the 1990 MLB Draft. The left-hander struck out 126 batters and tossed seven complete games during the 1990 season – the 126 strikeouts are the second most in a single season in program history. He and his brother combined to be one of the ASUN’s most formidable duos.
