
Bears Continue A-Sun Play; Host FGCU and Stetson

MACON, Ga. – Due to rain in the Macon area, the Mercer women's tennis Atlantic Sun Conference match against FGCU for today has been pushed back to 2 p.m.
The Bears and Eagles were supposed to start at 10 a.m. but rain forced the teams to move the start back to original time the men were supposed to play. Now both teams will play at 2 p.m. at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center on the campus of Mercer University.
Both the Mercer men and women are coming off 7-0 losses to North Florida last weekend and are in search for their first win in conference play.
MERCER vs. FGCU - Friday, March 22 - 2 p.m.
The FGCU women's team comes into Friday's match with a 7-3 overall record and 2-0 in the A-Sun. The FGCU women boast wins over FIU, FAU and Iowa State and are coming off a 7--0 win over Northern Kentucky last week.
The FGCU men are one of three teams in the A-Sun to open up 2-0 in conference play. The Eagles are 7-6 overall in 2013 and have solid wins over the University of Connecticut and Oklahoma State. The men also took down NKU last weekend, 7-0 in Ft. Myers, Fla.
