RESULTS
KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – Hannah Mae Deems carded an even-par 72 and is in the top five on the individual leaderboard as the first round of action concluded at Palmetto Intercollegiate on the Turtle Point Golf Course at the Kiawah Island Resort.
Deems was the top individual for the Bears as Mercer finished the day in 10th place at 17-over-par (305).

MERCER ON THE TEAM LEADERBOARD
The Bears finished the day at 17-over-par, good enough for 10th place in the 20-team field. Mercer is just two strokes behind Daytona State and three strokes behind Elon while two strokes ahead of East Tennessee State. Ole Miss leads the team rankings at 2-over-par while No. 43 Chattanooga is tied with Coastal Carolina for second at 4-over-par.
MERCER ON THE INDIVIDUAL LEADERBOARD
Hannah Mae Deems, at even-par, was the top Bears golfer on the course Sunday and is tied for fifth overall. She is tied with three others for fifth and that group is just two strokes behind a trio of golfers that are tied for the individual lead at 2-under-par. Mercer's Terese Romeo is just four strokes behind at 4-over-par and is tied for 34th.
NEXT ROUND'S PAIRINGS
Mercer will start Monday's round with tee times starting at 8:52 a.m. on Hole No. 1 with tee times running every nine minutes. The Bears will once again be paired with Dayton State and UNCG.
