Lightfritz in Top Five after First Day of Anuenue Spring Break Classic

KAPALUA, Hawai'i – Lauren Lightfritz carded an even-par 72 – better than six golfers ranked in the top 100 in the nation – and finished Monday's action tied for fourth as the opening round came to a close at the Anuenue Spring Break Classic in Maui.
A freshman, Lightfritz had a hot start to the day with three birdies in her first six holes. She would finish the day at even-par 72 matched with four other golfers and only five strokes behind the individual leader, No. 15 Lilia Vu of UCLA.
As a team, Mercer finished the day in 11th place at 22-over-par, just three strokes behind host Hawai'i and UC Davis.

No. 15 Lilia Vu (UCLA) leads the individual leaderboard at 5-under-par while No. 25 Esther Lee (Colorado) and No. 39 Monica Vaughn (Arizona State) are tied for second at 1-under-par.
TUESDAY'S PAIRINGS
Mercer will tee off with a shotgun start at 7:45 a.m. HT/1:45 p.m. ET on holes 8 through 11. The Bears will be paired with host Hawai'i, UC Davis and Utah Valley.
