
Ranjitsingh Signs with Orlando City SC

Former Mercer keeper joins MLS club in Orlando
MACON, Ga. – Former Mercer men's soccer standout goalkeeper Greg Ranjitsingh has officially signed with Orlando City SC on Wednesday morning. Ranjitsingh joins Kyle Smith in the reuniting with former head coach James O'Connor who led Louisville City FC from 2015-2018 before taking over in Orlando.

Ranjitsingh previously led USL squad Louisville City FC to back-to-back USL Cups in 2017 and 2018. Ranjitsingh joined Louisville in 2015, appearing in 81 career regular season matches with 33 shutouts. The Canada native served as the starting goalkeeper for 11 career playoff matches for Louisville City over the course of three seasons. The Mercer great registered shutout performances in both the 2017 and 2018 title matches to guide Louisville to its first two titles.

On Oct. 5, 2017, Ranjitsingh also reached national attention after being named to the Trinidad and Tobago 23-man national squad.

While at Mercer, Ranjitsingh played in 81 career matches, owning the program record for clean sheets (27), ranking second in goals against average (1.14), while ranking third in saves with 363. As a senior in the 2014 season, Ranjitsingh led the conference in total saves (106) and save percentage (.841), ranking third and ninth in the NCAA, respectively. Ranjitsingh was additionally named SoCon Goalkeeper of the Year in his final campaign, helping Mercer earn the conference regular season title in its first year as a league member.
