Junior shot 3-under and finished as the runner-up at Idle Hour
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Mercer junior Laila Hrindova has been named the Southern Conference Women's Golfer of the Week after her performance at the Idle Hour Collegiate Championship in Macon, the league office announced Wednesday.

The Poprad, Slovakia native shot 70-70-73 (213) and finished as the runner-up at the tournament at 3-under par on the Bears' home course. Her two 70 rounds tied for her lowest single-round score since transferring to Mercer from Baylor in 2018 – her career low was a 69 in 2018.

Hrindova helped lead the Bears to a runner-up finish as a team at the tournament to wrap up the fall season. Mercer picks things back up in February by hosting the Reynolds Lake Oconee Classic in Greensboro.
