Janiga Jumps into Top 10 at Clover Cup

MESA, Ariz. – Mercer senior Mary Janiga shot a two-under-par 70 to jump into the top 10 of the Notre Dame-hosted Clover Cup individual standings on Saturday at Longbow Golf Club.

Mercer (+39) carded a collective 305 on Saturday's second round and remained in eighth place overall.

Mercer on Team Leaderboard
The Bears remained in eighth place through 36 holes put are just nine strokes off of fifth-place Houston (+30) entering the final round. Mercer owns a six-shot lead on ninth-place Wisconsin.

Mercer on Individual Scoreboard
Janiga birdied four holes to overcome a pair of bogeys while moving into a tie for ninth place. She birdied No. 18 to end her round. Two other Bears – Karina Kukkonen (+9) and Payton Schanen (+12) are inside the top 50 individually.

Round Two Tee Times
Mercer's five golfers will tee off alongside Kansas State and Wisconsin at 11 a.m. (ET) in the final round of the Clover Cup.
