Three Bears Earn Top-20 Finishes at Tiger Golf Classic

Mercer takes eighth in LSU-hosted tournament

BATON ROUGE, La. – Mercer's Carol Pyon, Karina Kukkonen and Mary Janiga earned top-20 individual finishes at the LSU-hosted Tiger Golf Classic while the Bears shot a third-round 317 to place eighth overall on Sunday at the University Club.

Mercer on Team Leaderboard
Mercer finished 69-over-par (933) in the three-day tournament and moved up one spot in the standings with Sunday's performance. The Bears placed ahead of Tulane and Kansas on the team leaderboard.

Mercer on Individual Scoreboard
Karina Kukkonen shot Mercer's best individual third-round with a 77 on Sunday. Three Bears, including Kukkonen, earned top-20 individual finishes. Carol Pyon, who played as an individual, tied for 10th and shot 10-over-par for the tournament.
