Coach Kayden's Take
"We had a solid first day at the SoCon Championship, shooting one-over-par while Lino led us," said head coach Kirk Kayden. "He made a lot of quality shots and performed at a high level when we needed him to. Our other three counting scores were consistent and we need more of that Monday. It was a cold, slightly windy morning, but our guys responded well. We did not make enough birdies to keep up with UNCG, but there are still 36 holes to go. We'll need to stay mentally tough and positive; I think the guys are in a good frame of mind heading into the final two days at Pinehurst."
