Bears fans can donate shoes at this weekend’s baseball series
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer baseball team has partnered with Critical Care for Animal Angels, Inc. (CCAA) and GotSneakers for a shoe drive during this weekend's three-game series against ETSU at OrthoGeorgia Park.

Bears fans are encouraged to donate new or gently used shoes and rubber-bottom cleats at any of Mercer's three baseball games this weekend. In exchange for the donated shoes, fans will receive a $4 concession stand voucher.

All donated shoes will be redistributed to microenterprise partners in Haiti, Bolivia, Nicaragua and Ukraine, through GotSneakers, a social enterprise, used in developing nations for impoverished people to start their own businesses while keeping old shoes out of America's landfills.

Mercer will play ETSU at 6 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.
