The only other time that Mercer and Campbell have ever met on the gridiron was in the Bears' first season after bringing football back (2013). Another in a year full of firsts, the Mercer University football team marked one more off the list when it marched into Buies Creek and knocked off Campbell, 38-31, to capture the program's first road victory in 72 years.
Â
SCOUTING CAMPBELL
Campbell enters this weekend's contest coming off back-to-back wins over Shaw and Davidson at home after a season-opening loss at Troy. The Camels offense ranks 16th in the FCS in passing efficiency and rarely turns the ball over -- sporting a 1.67 turnover margin through the first three games.
Â
Hajj-Malik Williams paces the offense with 576 passing yards and seven touchdowns, while also leading the team with 136 rushing yards and two scores on the ground in 2019.
