Mercer Athletics announces Watch Party for Saturday
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer football team will welcome Abilene Christian to Five Star Stadium this Saturday, Oct. 31, for the annual Homecoming game. Tickets are sold out for the contest, but fans wanting to be part of the best gameday atmosphere in the country are invited to attend a watch party presented by U.S. Army ROTC.
Festivities, including music by Hindsight as part of the Ford Concert Series, will begin at 12 p.m. on Black Field adjacent to Five Star Stadium.
Â
Catch your favorite players heading to the stadium as the Bear Walk makes its way from the Jesse Mercer statue, through Cruz Plaza passing Black Field and into the gates of Five Star at 12:30 p.m. and Hindsight will perform at 1 p.m.
Â
Macon-based Hindsight is an indie alternative rock band. After forming in February 2016, it released its first full-length album, "Out of Touch," in March 2017. The band consists of Hunter Pettis on drums, Brent Mckinney on bass, Jake Viator on lead guitar and Caleb Melvin on lead vocals and rhythm guitar.
Â
Face coverings must be worn on campus in outdoor settings whenever at least 6 feet of physical distancing cannot be maintained. Gatherings must be kept to groups of 10 or fewer individuals. All individuals inside Five Star Stadium must wear a mask unless they are actively eating or drinking.
