Farmer Named SoCon Pitcher of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Mercer right-hander Josh Farmer have been named the Southern Conference pitcher of the week, respectively, for all games March 9-11. The selections are made by the league office.

Farmer was lights out in his lone appearance during the week, a non-conference win over Georgia State last Wednesday. The redshirt sophomore from Bogart, Georgia, picked up the victory after tossing five no-hit innings in his start against the Panthers. Farmer recorded two strikeouts while walking just two of the batters he faced.

The weekly award is the first of Farmer's career.
