Mercer travels to West Point, N.Y. to face Army West Point at 1:30 p.m.
MACON, Ga. – The kickoff time for the Mercer football game at Army West Point is set for 1:30 p.m. in West Point, N.Y. on Oct. 24.

Army is one of seven schools in the nation to play as an independent in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). The Black Knights are currently 2-1 on the 2020 season. The Black Knights have wins over Middle Tennessee State and Louisiana-Monroe this season at Michie Stadium. Earlier this season, Army was ranked No. 22 the AP Top 25.

Army is led by seventh-year head coach Jeff Monken. Over his first seven years at West Point, he has compiled a record of 42-37. His best season came in 2018 when the Black Knights when 11-2 overall and ended the season with a 70-14 victory over Houston in the Lockheed Armed Forces Bowl. The Associated Press ranked Army 19th in its final poll in 2018.

This will be the first contest between these two schools since 1933 and second all-time. Army won the first meeting, 19-6, which was played at West Point.
