Tyler Copp earned his second career top-5 finish

LAKE HARTWELL, Ga. – Senior Tyler Copp of the Mercer men's golf team closed out his strong play at the JT Poston Invitational by claiming fourth place at the Cateechee Golf Club on Tuesday.

Copp finished in the top-5 for the second time in his career, having earned runner-up honors at the Sam Hall Intercollegiate in 2018. It was also the fourth he posted three scores of par or better in a tournament.

"We didn't get the results we were looking for, as our goal is to always be under par as a team. We had to play through some tough conditions today, but everyone had to play in it. I am really proud of Tyler's consistent effort this week. He played solid golf in tough conditions today."
