Rodriguez places first overall
MACON, Ga.– The Mercer women's golf team completed the sweep at the Mercer Invitational, taking the team and individual title.
"The goal was to finish strong and bring home a tournament win, and we did it," said Head Coach Michele Drinkard. "So proud of this team, their competitive spirit and their endless effort that they put into their game. They are true champions."
Junior, Tracy Rodriguez carded a 67 (-5) in the first round, tying for the lowest tournament course record at the Brickyard. Rodriguez' first round included nine birdies, four on the front nine and five on the back with three in the row from 11 to 13. Rodriguez carded a 73 (+1) in rounds two and three, finishing three under par for the championship.

Senior, Carol Pyon carded a final round of 68 (-4) with five birdies, three of them in her final holes: 17, 18, and 1.
