Mercer Completes Day One at Florida State Match-Up

The Bears are tied for 11th after the first round

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Mercer women's golf team opened play at the Florida State Match Up Friday and after day one the Bears sit tied for 11th after firing a round of 312, 24-over par.

The event is being held at the Seminole Legacy. Graduate student Payton Schanen led the Bears on day one as she fired a round of four-over par 76. She is currently tied for 26th place. Tracy Rodriguez was two shots behind her as she fired a round of six-over 78.

As a team, Mercer posted a score of 312 (+24) for the first round.
