Jackson Kelley Named SoCon Pitcher of the Week

Kelley limited No. 14 South Carolina over 7 1/3 innings

MACON, Ga. – Mercer pitcher Jackson Kelley has been named Southern Conference Pitcher of the Week, the Southern Conference announced on Monday.

Kelley made two appearances this weekend against No. 14 South Carolina. In Sunday's contest against the Gamecocks, Kelley pitched a season-high 7 1/3 innings and only allowed four hits while striking out five batters. The Marietta, Ga., sophomore limited South Carolina to only one run in the Bears' 1-0 loss.

The Bears host Florida A&M on Wednesday at OrthoGeorgia Park. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.
