Lauren Lightfritz, Laila Hrindova and Carol Pyon are tied for seventh after two rounds

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Mercer women's golf trio of Lauren Lightfritz, Laila Hrindova and Carol Pyon are tied for seventh after the first two rounds of play of the Southern Conference Championship at the Oak Point Golf Club on Monday.

Lightfritz carded a team-low even-par 72 in the first round, while Hrindova recorded the Bears' lowest single round of the day with a 1-under par 71 in round two. The Poprad, Slovakia native tallied an eagle and four birdies throughout her second round of the day. Additionally, Pyon and Tracy Rodriguez shot an even-par 72 in the second round.

As a team, the Bears are in fourth place heading into the final 18 holes, while being five strokes behind ETSU who leads the field with an 8-over par.
