Lauren Lightfritz finished tied for third at the conference tournament

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Mercer women's golf team closed out play at the Southern Conference Championship by finishing third at the Oak Point Golf Club on Tuesday.

The Bears tied their best finish at the conference tournament since joining the SoCon in 2014-15 after finishing third in 2018 as well.

Graduate student Lauren Lightfritz posted her best finish at the conference tournament by tying for third place at 2-over par. Senior Laila Hrindova also posted a top-10 finish as she collected eighth-place honors. Junior Carol Pyon and graduate student Payton Schanen closed out the tournament just outside of the top-10 at 11th and 13th, respectively.
