Baseball Set to Host Florida State on Tuesday

Tidy Tuesday - Fans attending can receive a mop
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer Bears will host No.10 Florida State in a midweek match-up on Tuesday afternoon at OrthoGeorgia Park in Macon, Ga. The first pitch is set for 6 p.m.
Fans get to the game early to secure a mop to help the Bears "mop the Seminoles" as Mercer has their first Tidy Tuesday of the season. You can purchase tickets for the contest by clicking here.

The Seminoles enter the contest with the Bears holding an 5-2 mark on the season. Florida State dropped a game to Jacksonville 3-2 and the other against Southern Conference foe, Samford, 7-4 in the final game of a three-game set. They are led by third year head coach Mike Martin Jr.
The Seminoles have five players batting north of .300. Reese Alberts leads the team with a .522 batting average in sevn games with 12 hits and five RBI. Jamie Ferrer is second on the team with nine hits and a .375 batting average. James Tibbs and Brett Roberts have eight hits apiece with a .400 and .304 respectively. As a team, Florida State is hitting over .300 with seven homers. Logan Lacey leads the Seminoles with a pair of home runs.
On the bump, the Seminoles have a team ERA of 2.43 this season in 63.0 innings pitched. The pitching staff has limited its opposition to 42 hits. Florida State pitching staff has recorded 97 Ks and walked only 21. Bryce Hubbart and Parker Messick have 20-plus strike outs in two appearances on the year.
