Spring 2022 Academic All-SoCon Team Comprised of 50 Mercer Student-Athletes

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Mercer Bears placed 50 student-athletes on the Spring 2022 Academic All-Southern Conference Team, as announced by the league office Tuesday morning.

In total, there were 637 selections from 525 student-athletes on the academic all-conference team.

The men's lacrosse team led all Mercer spring sports with 17 student-athletes named to the academic all-conference team, followed by baseball (10), softball (6), men's tennis (4), women's tennis (4), men's golf (3), women's basketball (2), women's golf (2) and women's track and field (2).

To be eligible for the academic all-conference team, student-athletes must carry at least a 3.3 cumulative grade-point average at the conclusion of the spring semester and were required to compete in at least one-half of their team's competitions during the recently concluded campaign. In addition, the student-athletes must have successfully completed at least three semesters at their institutions, making true freshmen and first-year transfers ineligible for inclusion.
