Three Players Receive Perfect Game Preseason Honors

MACON, Ga. – Perfect Game released its Southern Conference preseason honors, including Josh Harlow and Treyson Hughes on the All-Conference Team, while naming Ty Dalley as the Preseason Freshman of the Year.

Harlow, named a starting pitcher on the All-Conference Team, went 7-2 last season with a 4.92 ERA. He struck out 84 batters in 67.2 innings pitched as a freshman last season.

Outfielder Hughes recorded the second-best batting average on the team at .317 last season with 14 homeruns and 53 RBI. Hughes was the only SoCon player to be named a Perfect Game First Team Freshman All-American and an NCBWA Freshman All-American.

Dalley joins the Bears from Vidalia High School in Vidalia, Georgia, where he was ranked the top first baseman in his class in Georgia by Perfect Game and the 37^th overall player in the state. Dalley helped guide his team to a perfect 15-0 record in the region en route to the GHSA AA State Championship title.

Opening day for the 2023 Mercer baseball season is Friday, February 17 as the Bears take on William & Mary at 6 p.m at OrthoGeorgia Park at Claude Smith Field.
