Mercer finished 9th in 12 team field

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Mercer women's golf team finished ninth in the 12 team field at the Florida State Match Up from Seminole Legacy Golf Club.

The Bears finished the third round with a team score of 312 (+24). Difficult conditions made for a tough Sunday for all teams as only one team - last place Coastal Carolina - had their best round on Sunday and all 12 teams finished over par for the day.

Kate Song had her lowest round of the tournament and the best round for Mercer on Sunday with a 75 (+3). Song had four birdies in her round including three over a four hole stretch from No. 12-15.

Mercer finished the tournament as the best team on the par 3s at 8-over for the tournament, five strokes better than the next best team in tournament champion Florida State.

Mercer also tied with Purdue for the most eagles with two as Carol Pyon and Camilla Järvelä each had an eagle in round one.
