HOW IT HAPPENED
The first inning ended with the Bears feeling confident after three outs in a row with two runners left on base. The bottom of the first went quickly after Treyson Hughes was robbed of a single by the Bucs' second baseman who made a diving catch followed by two dropped third strikes turned into outs.
Joszef Rohrbacher led off the bottom of the second inning with a solo home run on the first pitch over the right field wall to get the Bears on the board. Both teams went scoreless in the third and fourth innings.
In the top of the fifth inning, Cody Miller reached first on a bunt back to Cosper which set the Bears up for a double play followed by a fly out to center for a quick three up, three down, inning. Geier led off the bottom of the inning with a double to the right field wall followed by another double by Ty Dalley that scored Geier. Hughes hit the third double of the inning, sending Dalley across the plate. The Bucs got out of the inning with a strikeout, but the Bears already added damage and were up by three runs.Right outta the gates @jozsefrohr 🐎
