Dubnik Tied For Second After First Round At NGI Tournament

Dubnik shot 4-under 68 in first round

MARICOPA, Ariz. - Mikayla Dubnik shot a 4-under 68 and is tied for second place after the first round of the NGI Tournament at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.

Dubnik was 3-under on the back nine. She had five birdies to just one bogey on the day.

As a team, Mercer is in fourth place after they shot 293 (+5). The Bears are five shots off the leaders, Penn State who are at even par for the tournament. Mercer was 1-over on the par 4's in round one - the second best team score on the par 4's for the day.

Camilla Järvelä is tied for ninth after shooting even-par, 72 on Friday. Her 14 pars were tied for fourth most in the first round.
