Game concluded 7-6 after 5 ½ innings
HOW IT HAPPENED
Georgia Tech got off to a quick start, seeing five players reach base and scoring two runs off of zero hits. Treyson Hughes singled in the first inning to extend his hitting streak to 14 games and his on-base streak to 17 games.
Mercer took the lead in the bottom of the second thanks to back-to-back home runs and a bases-loaded walk. Eric Toth hit his 15th home run of the season to right center field.

Micah Takac, who entered in the top of the third, earned two strikeouts in the top of the fourth to post a scoreless frame. He followed this up with another scoreless inning, setting up a Mercer lead in the bottom of the fifth.
The excitement in the fifth featured three consecutive home runs by the Bears. Hughes walked to open the inning and was brought home on Jozsef Rohrbacher's 17th home run of the season, bouncing off the batter's eye in center field.

In the top of the sixth, Georgia Tech placed two on base, forcing a pitching change. A throwing error and a single scored three for the Yellow Jackets, bringing the score within one.
Lightning within the area forced the game to enter a weather delay, and the game was not resumed. It finished as a 7-6 win for Mercer.
