Ty Dalley Named Freshman All-American

MACON, Ga. – Mercer baseball first baseman Ty Dalley was named a Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball on Wednesday after his impressive freshman campaign with the Bears.

Dalley was also named to the SoCon All-Freshman Team earlier this season. Dalley played in all 58 games this season, starting 54. He finished the season batting .259 with 18 home runs and 56 RBIs. He finished fourth in the conference in home runs and RBIs.

His 56 RBIs led the team, and his 18 home runs were third most on the team. Dalley also had 10 doubles on the season which were second most on the team. Dalley had 14 multi-RBI games which led the team. He posted three multi-home run games and hit a grand slam in the SoCon Tournament against UNCG.

Defensively, Dalley finished with a .995 fielding percentage with 395 putouts at first base. He ranked second in the SoCon in fielding double plays with 41.
