Cheer, Dance Teams To Host Gameday Clinic On February 10

MACON – The Mercer Dance Team will host its annual Cheer & Dance For A Day gameday clinic on February 10 prior to and during the women's basketball team's Southern Conference matchup with Chattanooga in Hawkins Arena, head coach Caroline Cole announced Sunday.
The clinic, which is open to children ages 4 to 16, was designed to showcase the intricacies of representing Mercer Athletics at a basketball gameday event. Campers will learn age-appropriate material that mimics actual performances by the Mercer spirit teams at gameday events.
Registration begins at 11:45 a.m. on the concourse level of Hawkins Arena, and the cost for the clinic is $60, payable by cash or check during the registration process. Participants will receive a camp t-shirt, lunch and will have the opportunity to perform with the dance and cheerleading squads during the game.
Tickets to the game are not included in the price of registration, but can be purchased by calling the Mercer Athletic Ticket Office at (478) 952-1740.
