
Bears Release 2025 Baseball Schedule

MACON – Head coach Craig Gibson and the Mercer baseball program unveiled their 2025 season schedule today, highlighted by 36 home games at OrthoGeorgia Park. Â

Opening day is set for February 14 with the Bears hosting the Milwaukee Panthers. Mercer will play its first five weekend series at OrthoGeorgia Park, including a three-game set with defending Big South champion High Point from Feb. 28 – March 2. The final non-conference series of the season comes on May 10, when the Bears travel to Blacksburg, Va. for a two-game series with ACC foe Virginia Tech.Â

The non-conference midweek slate includes home-and-home matchups with in-state rivals Georgia Tech, Kennesaw State, Georgia State and Georgia Southern. On March 18, Mercer will travel to Tallahassee, Fla. for a midweek contest with Florida State. The Bears defeated the eighth-ranked and eventual College World Series participant Seminoles in Tallahassee last season by a score of 13-6.Â

The Bears will play four of seven SoCon series at home, including a series at OrthoGeorgia Park with defending regular season champion UNC Greensboro from April 25-27. The first conference series of the season comes on the road with a trip to The Citadel from March 21-23. SoCon Tournament play begins on May 20 at Flour Field in Greenville, S.C.
