MACON – A steady dose of rain that is expected to move across the state of Georgia on Friday has caused a shift in the Mercer baseball team's regularly-scheduled series with Northeastern at Ortho Georgia Park.

The two clubs will now open their weekend set with a 3 p.m. single dip on Saturday, and close out the weekend with a 1 p.m. doubleheader on Sunday. For fans unable to make the trip to Macon, all three games can be followed for free via live statistics links provided by the MU athletics department.

The Bears (8-1) will ride an 8-game win streak into the weekend, including victories over Florida A&M on Tuesday and Wednesday at Ortho Georgia Park. The Huskies (3-2) opened their 2024 campaign with a series loss (2-1) at Arizona, but are rolling into Middle Georgia after posting neutral site victories over Minnesota on Saturday and Sunday in Fort Myers, Fla.
