
Cosper And Dalley Named To All-Conference First Teams

MACON - Junior pitcher Colton Cosper and sophomore outfielder/first baseman Ty Dalley have been named to both the Coaches and Media All-Southern Conference First Teams, the league announced Tuesday.
Cosper has started in 14 games this season and has pitched 86.2 innings - the third-most in the conference. His ERA of 4.05 is currently the fourth-lowest. He has struck out a total of 55 batters with 22 of those struck out looking - the second-most in the conference. The lefty also has one save this season, coming in to pitch against Florida State to help the Bears upset the eighth-ranked Seminoles in Tallahassee 13-6.
Dalley has a .303 batting average and .652 slugging percentage. His 62 RBI is sixth in the Southern Conference, and his 17 home runs is tied for fifth in the league. In a series against Seton Hall, he hit five home runs in one weekend - three in one game and two in the next - and totaled 11 RBI. The versatile fielder has appeared in right field, left field, and at first base this season.Â
The Bears will open tournament play on Wednesday at 7 p.m. against VMI. All tournament games will be at Fluor Field in Greenville, S.C.
