Dance Team Tryouts Set For April 27 In Hawkins Arena

MERCER – Tryouts for the 2025-26 Mercer Dance Team will be held on Sunday, April 27, at 8 a.m. in Hawkins Arena on the Mercer University campus, head coach Caroline Cole announced Thursday. Tryouts are open to all 2025-26 Mercer University students and prospective students, including incoming freshmen and transfer students.
Registration for the tryout will begin at 8 a.m. Audition requirements include a 60-second routine, a sideline filler routine and an across the floor routine, all of which will be choreographed by the Mercer Dance Team staff. Participants should also be prepared to answer questions about both football and basketball in the interview portion of the tryout.
The mid-April audition will be the only audition held before the 2025-26 athletic season. Those interested in attending the tryout should contact Caroline Cole at cole_cp@mercer.edu. Prospective dance team members are asked to have all required forms – including sizing, admissions and academic information – filled out prior to registration.
