
Mercer Athletics Statement Regarding NCAA House Settlement

MACON – Athletics department officials at Mercer University announced Friday afternoon the department's decision to opt-in to the proposed terms of the House v. NCAA settlement.
"After carefully analyzing the pros and cons of the ever-changing NCAA landscape, Mercer Athletics has decided to opt-in to the House settlement," said Athletics Director Jim Cole. "This decision positions Mercer Athletics to remain competitive at the highest level, while also maintaining the flexibility needed for future growth.
"No matter the landscape, the mission of our athletics department will never change. We will always strive to provide the resources and platforms for our student-athletes to succeed both in the competitive arena and inside the classroom."
