Bears Conclude Play at SoCon Championship

GREENSBORO, GA. – The Mercer men's golf team wrapped up the SoCon Championship on Tuesday, shooting 287 as a team. Senior Trey Mixon was the Bears' top finisher, shooting two-under in round three to finish 17th at one-under for the tournament.

Nathan Trodd turned in Mercer's low round on day three with a four-under 68, complete with six birdies, to climb 11 spots on the leaderboard. Cole Hanson shot one-under par on Tuesday, finishing the tournament even to place 20th.

East Tennessee State claimed their fifth consecutive SoCon team title, shooting 14-under on Tuesday to take the championship by 10 strokes. UNCG's Colin Dutton won the invididual title, shooitng 10-under on the week.
