Six Home Games, Week 0 Matchup Highlight 2026 Football Schedule

MACON – Six home games, including an August 29 (Week 0) matchup against an opponent that will be announced later this month, highlight the 12-game Mercer football schedule that was released on Friday afternoon by athletics department officials.

Five-game season ticket packages have already on sale and can be purchased for as little as $75 by visiting MercerBears.com/Tickets. Start times for all six home games will be announced later this month as well.

The Orange & Black will kick off its newest slate with three-straight home games beginning with the Week 0 matchup at Five Star Stadium and concluding with contests in Middle Georgia against Presbyterian (September 5) and Southern Conference rival Furman (September 12).

Mercer will open up a season-longest three-game road trip on September 19 when it makes the short hop to Atlanta to take on Atlantic Coast Conference rival Georgia Tech at Bobby Dodd Stadium. The Bears will make a 400-mile flight to Texas on September 26 to lock horns with Abilene Christian before opening up the month of October with a road trip to league nemesis VMI (October 3).

Two home games headline the schedule for the month of October, including an October 31 Homecoming tilt against The Citadel, as well as an early-October (October 10) duel with SoCon nemesis Western Carolina. A mid-month showdown at Samford is also on the docket during the calendar's 10th month.

The Bears will play consecutive games at Chattanooga (November 7) and at SoCon newcomer Tennessee Tech (November 14) to close out the road portion of its regular season schedule, before snapping the lid on the home slate on November 21 against East Tennessee State in Macon.
