Feed The Bears Program To Return August 20

MACON – The nationally-ranked Mercer football team is seeking host families across Middle Georgia to participate in the ongoing Feed the Bears program which will be held on August 20 at 6 p.m.

A tradition that has strengthened bonds between Mercer's football program and its community throughout its existence, Feed The Bears pairs football student-athletes with Middle Georgia residents for a home-cooked meal and fellowship. The event was an annual success from 2013-19, with more than 50 different families hosting student-athletes across that seven-year span, before the COVID-19 pandemic forced a pause. The program was reintegrated into MU's community outreach program in 2024.
