Men’s Golf Concludes Play At Bryan Bros Collegiate

WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Mercer Bears finished the second annual Bryan Bros Collegiate in 13th of 16 teams at the Solina Golf Club in West Columbia, South Carolina on Tuesday afternoon.
Originally scheduled to play 36 holes on Monday, September 28, play was suspended at 7:25 p.m. before the conclusion of the second round due to darkness. The second round resumed at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, and the third round followed shortly after.
Phillips Swift carded a four-under 67 in the second round and ended the tournament as the only Bear to shoot even or better. The sophomore from Macon, Georgia, finished tied for 20th individually.
Ethan Dufresne ended the event as Mercer's second-best leading scorer. The junior transfer from Sam Houston State fired off rounds of 71-71-73 to finish two over par and tied for 30th individually.
The Bears conclude their fall slate at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate on October 19-21. ETSU will host the three-day event at the Blackthorn Club in Johnson City, Tennessee.
