Alex Duhaime joins the Mercer University baseball staff for the 2015 season as a volunteer assistant coach.
Duhaime comes to Mercer from Chattahoochee Valley Community College, where he served as an assistant coach. He helped guide the Pirates to the 2015 Alabama Community College Conference championship and a third place finish in the NJCAA World Series.
Prior to his time at CVCC, Duhaime spent two seasons as a coach for the Douglasville Bulls in the Sunbelt Summer Collegiate League. He also guided Douglas County High School to the AAAAAA state tournament in 2014, while also serving as a teacher in the district’s school system.
Duhaime started his collegiate playing career at CVCC, serving as the starting second baseman for two years before finishing his career at West Georgia, where he was elected as a team captain as a senior.
He graduated from West Georgia in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics.
