Apply For Assistant Athletic Trainer
The Mercer University Sports Medicine department is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill the position of assistant athletic trainer with a primary sport assignment of Men’s Lacrosse.
This is a 12-month position that includes benefits. This position will assist the Director of Sports Medicine in providing comprehensive, athlete-centered health care for the student- athletes at Mercer University. This individual will coordinate athletic training services for assigned sports, working alongside coaches, strength and conditioning staff, academic success, and administration.
Our mission is to provide athlete-centered medicine for all student-athletes participating in intercollegiate athletics at Mercer University. These services include prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and management of injuries or illnesses. We are committed to provide evidenced-based medicine by staying current with medical trends and research. In addition, we strive to provide a valuable clinical educational experience for the students enrolled in Mercer’s Master of Athletic Training Program.

REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s degree in athletic training or other related is required.
- Current NATA BOC certification
- Current CPR / AED certification for Professional Rescuer
- Georgia State Licensure or eligibility
Preferred two years of clinical experience as a certified athletic trainer.
